PC Alumni Going Boldly - Are you keeping up with MLB? If so, then you've probably seen Andrew Heaney with the Texas Rangers! ⚾️ Andrew is a 2009 grad from Putnam City High School and also attended Rollingwood Elementary and James L. Capps Middle School. The Rangers won the ALCS championship and are moving on to the World Series. Way to go Andrew! You make us #PCproud! #GoBoldly

Our amazing teachers and staff participated in the Putnam City Teaching & Learning Conference for today's professional development day. 📚 These dedicated professional educators, leaders, mentors, lifelong learners, and superheroes acquired many valuable new skills and lessons today that they'll use to teach their students tomorrow. ✏️

One might think 250+ middle school students on a stage with stringed instruments might be chaos. Well, in the case of the All-City Orchestra Concert, it was anything but! 🎻 Beautiful music and a lot of growth were on full display for our middle school orchestra students. Thank you to the guest clinicians and conductors from Oklahoma City University and Oklahoma State University! 🎶

Elementary students from across the District attended the Hispanic Heritage Living History Museum today at Putnam City West! "Seat at the Table" students from all three high schools brought prominent Hispanics, past and present, to life as a unique and innovative way to celebrate and teach Hispanic Heritage.

If you missed Parent & Family Night, then you really missed out on some good information! There were different departments, vendors, and organizations from across Putnam City and the metro, all of them ready to help and answer questions. 6th grade Summer Recharge students ventured outside at James L. Capps Middle School to learn in the sand this week! 🏖️
Okay, it wasn't exactly beach vibes... but it was still a fun experience! After reading a poem about boundaries, students demonstrated their understanding with a hands-on activity building a fence and labeling what to keep close and what to keep away. 😎 One student put up a boundary against sharks...we think she was actually feeling the beach vibes.🦈
