Celebrating our Diversity Night was a beautiful embrace of what makes us unique. 🌎 There was food from around the world, spirited performances, informative displays, and colorful activities for everyone to celebrate the richness of our community. 💫
At Native American Heritage Night, family and friends were able to immerse themselves in the vibrant traditions of tribal dances, regalia, and explore the wealth of resources that Oklahoma City has to offer. One might think 250+ middle school students on a stage with stringed instruments might be chaos. Well, in the case of the All-City Orchestra Concert, it was anything but! 🎻 Beautiful music and a lot of growth were on full display for our middle school orchestra students. Thank you to the guest clinicians and conductors from Oklahoma City University and Oklahoma State University! 🎶
Elementary students from across the District attended the Hispanic Heritage Living History Museum today at Putnam City West! Okay, it wasn't exactly beach vibes... but it was still a fun experience! After reading a poem about boundaries, students demonstrated their understanding with a hands-on activity building a fence and labeling what to keep close and what to keep away. 😎 One student put up a boundary against sharks...we think she was actually feeling the beach vibes.🦈
